A tour of Dover Transport Museum, classic cars inc Austin A90 Atlantic, Bedford CA & Ford Model Y

Here we view the classic cars, lorries & motorcycles at the excellent Dover Transport Museum in Kent. Housed in former army buildings not too far away from Dover's white cliffs in Whitfield, this transport museum houses many wonderful exhibits, some of which are touched upon here. Classic cars on display include an Austin A90 Atlantic, Wolseley 6/90 saloon, Morris Minor 1000 Police car, an immaculate Ford Model Y, an MG TC and a wonderfully "barn find" MG TA Midget of 1938 presented in a great old recreated garage scene - complete with sound effects. The mighty pre-war Humber and Austin 7 trio (Austin 7 Chummy, Opal and van) are definitely worth the visit too. Old lorries and other commercial vehicles are well represented too at the Dover Transport Museum with a large Bedford fire appliance (plus a Bedford CA pickup), a Leyland Titan bus, and a marvellous old Dennis tour bus/char-a-banc that was originally built to be used in Llandudno, North Wales. The impressive WW1 (1914) solid-tyred Pierce Arrow 5-ton truck is something to behold also. There's also a wide range of motorcycles and mopeds on display of all sizes and age, including a huge collection of locally-built Norman motorcycles, plus garage memorabilia, and many re-created shop displays to give a flavour of days gone by.
