It looks a lot like narrow leaf plantain, but it has leaves that are succulent. It is also a medicinal plant and has been used to relieve constipation. Sea plantain is a native wild plant and can be found near the ocean here in North America, and it can be eaten raw or cooked and has a slight salty flavour. You can forage for seaside plantain, or goosetongue, on the coast of BC. This video was filmed while foraging in Nova Scotia. Please consume wild plants at your own risk!
