I wanted to document the procedure that I had to go through while replacing the left crank seal on my Yamaha DT175. This procedure is basically the same for any 2 stroke dirt bike, vintage or modern. I ran into several issues such as my woodruff key shearing, having loose bolts inside the cases, and stripped screws. I probably ran into every problem you could run into while doing this job, so I hope this helps prepare you!
