The #greatalleghenypassage is 150 miles of beautiful rail-trail from Pittsburgh, Pa., to Cumberland, Md. We rode just a small section of it for this overnight video. We took the following precautions to ensure our safety and that of those around us. We carried all water and food needed for the trip since all water and bathroom facilities are turned off. We used food already at home and made no extra trips to the grocery store before or during the trip. We accessed the trail directly from our house and did not drive to any trailheads or access points. We wore our buffs at any town crossings or when we saw - very few - other trail users. We choose a cold day/night to ride and camp when few would be using the trail. Those we did encounter while riding we stayed distant from.
