Salisbury Plain Military Aviation in 2020

Military Aviation which took place on Salisbury Plain Training Area this year 2020. A mix of general training flights, confined area landings and larger military exercises as seen on the SPTA and nearby Keevil and Middle Wallop airfields. SPTA unmanned airfields filmed are Deptford Down and Everleigh DZ. Deptford Down is an unmanned grass runway on downland in the west of the Plain. it has a public footpath running along the southern edge of the runway giving excellent views of military helicopter training. Everleigh airfield is an unmanned grass field on the eastern end of Salisbury Plain. This whole area has permissive byway access on the tracks but the grass airfield is out of bounds due to regular dangerous activity. It is used for military helicopter training and is the main parachute drop-zone for C130 and A400m aircraft.
