From Silence | The RIT Drumline's First Marching Show

The RIT Drumline is a student run marching percussion ensemble at the Rochester Institute of Technology that competes annually in the New York State Percussion Circuit. Each year, we welcome students of all experience levels, ranging from beginners, to those with 8+ years of experience to form a unique group of passionate musicians and percussionists. Speak up! Our 2024 show, From Silence, aims to recognize the power of voice, unification, and the wonder that comes with building and creating something out of nothing. It starts as a single voice, nothing more than a murmur within a void of strange colors and sounds. However, that small voice soon grows and swells along with the music as it’s joined by other individual voices, all echoing from nothing. These cries join and rally together, unifying into a single wall of sound, as something new and beautiful is born From Silence.
