Do your own research and come to your own conclusions. ** I needed a chainsaw and did a little research and ultimately came to the Stihl MS 170 for various reasons. This little chainsaw was affordable and seemed to be the one to get based off reviews that I had seen. I purchased down at my local Kubota dealership and they tested it for me before I walked out the door to be sure it was running correctly. In this video you see the second day of use with this chainsaw and although it does run strong I seem to be having an issue with starting and bogging down. Through further research it may be a clogged spark arrester but I haven't had a chance to look into it yet. Video on that to follow. Overall I am happy with the purchase. I am hoping I can get that small issue figured out and am confident I will. When it is running it runs really good. It has less vibration than I thought it would have.
