Raising the bar… and a 114-ton truss! We hoisted a whopping 222-foot-long steel truss into place at the Mary C. Winder Community Center, one of the heaviest JPW Companies has ever wrangled! Accomplishing this task took months of planning and a calculated effort by our qualified team of professionals. Once the truss was set into place, 8 glue-lam wooden beams had to be installed before the crane could release the tension from the truss. Next time you’re at the field house, don’t forget to look up at the curved beams - you’ll know the muscle behind the architectural magic. Now that’s what we call heavy lifting!
