Learning to escape a heavier opponent starts by training with heavier people and learning not to freak out. Sounds too simple of course. But it's super difficult. With that said, this escape from a traditional head and arm side control seen in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu will work whether the person is heavier or smaller. The key to the escape is to get the person off balance. And honestly that is what the main focus of this video is about. How to off balance the top person so we can escape their side control.
