This goes both for your own videos, and videos posted by others. There’s no way to remove filters from already published TikToks. Before posting, you can remove filters and effects from your own TikToks. Let’s begin with how to disable all filters before even recording a TikTok video. To disable filters and effects before recording, first make sure the Retouch option is not enabled. You should see the Retouch option on the right side of the TikTok recording screen. If you see a check mark beside it, this means Retouch is enabled. Tap Retouch to turn this off. To make sure there are no filters on your video, tap Filters. Now, tap the crossed out circle to remove any filter that may have been applied. To remove any effects that may be enabled, tap Effects in the bottom left corner. Again, tap the crossed out circle to remove any effect that may have been applied. Now you’re all clear, filter free, and ready to record your TikTok. You can also remove filters from videos you’ve already recorded, but not posted yet. This includes videos that are in your Drafts. Open your drafted TikTok, and tap Filters. Then tap the crossed out circle to remove any filters that may have been applied. If you added an effect after recording, you can remove it. On your draft video, tap Effects on the right. Now tap the Undo button to remove the effect. If you added more than one effect, tap Undo as many times as needed to remove all added Effects. Tap Save to save your changes. If you added an effect before recording, unfortunately you cannot disable the Retouch effect or any special video effects that were applied before recording your video.
