Bosstiary - Essence of Malice [Solo]

In this video I will show you how to solo the Essence of Malice from The Cults of Tibia Quest. My previous video on this boss shows how to gain access and what it is like as a team but this video will be focusing on the solo strategy. I was actually pretty tight on time with the fight taking 13 minutes so I am not sure how low a level you could be to solo this boss. I would say you would most likely need at least level 400 if not higher. The longest part of the fight is killing the 5 mini bosses. During the first phase there are 5 pillars spread around the room each with a special ability. Destroying the pillar will release the mini boss that stands next to it and prevent its special abilities. Starting in the South West it is the Pillar of Draining which does a lot of mana drain. The North West pillar is the Pillar of Summoning which will summon Dread Minions. The Northern pillar is the Pillar of Death which will deal death damage to anybody in the room. North East is the Pillar of Protection which deals life drain damage. Finally, The South East pillar is the Pillar of Healing which can heal the other Pillars. I recommend taking out the Pillar of Summoning first to limit the number of Dread Minions followed by the Pillar of Draining to help prevent any mana issues. After that I usually will do the Pillar of Death then continue around the room clock wise. Use single target to take down the pillars as quickly as possible. Once you have the 5 mini bosses out switch to AoE to kill them all together. You'll most likely want to throw some field runes down as well for the extra damage. The 5 bosses health goes down at about the same rate though it will take a while. If you can stand still and group them together the phase will go quicker but obviously you'll take a lot more damage. Once all 5 mini bosses are defeated the Essence of Malice will spawn. The Essence of Malice doesn't do too much damage with a max combo of around 1000 damage. The boss is immune to death damage but does take damage by being healed. If you are a mage attempting a solo you will definitely want to use UHs on this boss to deal a lot of damage. Even as a Paladin, UHs can be on par with or better than sharpshooting I find unless you have gone the exori gran con route in the skill wheel. If you do have extra damage unlocked for exori gran con I would recommend sharpshooting and you'll be able to hit 2000 to 3000 damage with it. The Essence of Malice is in the Archfoe category which means you will get 100 boss points total for 60 kills. Some websites say this boss drops a Shield of Corruption but I've never seen proof of it. I wouldn't bother putting this boss on a boss slot ever. It does drop Silver and Gold tokens though which can help cover the costs.
