After the15th street lowrider cruise night in Los Angeles, the events for the next day were all cancelled due to the rain but Gbody Fest in Adelanto was still a go and go I did! I'm definitely glad I decided to go as I didn't want the weather to cancel this show. I was monitoring the forecast for any sudden changes since it kept saying that Adelanto had no rain coming on the day of the show. I took off early Sunday morning, woke up to wet roads but zero rain during my trip. Once arriving in Adelanto I got to it and began putting in work. I was happy to see the turnout because usually rain will deter people from going/participating in the show but this one had a good amount of show cars and hoppers. After getting most of the show rides, then came the official hop. That itself was a great show as there were many competitors. The icing on the cake though, was the after hop which took place away from the main show but still on location. Well the after hop was definitely something as you saw from the intro, there was a lot of friendly "smack" talk and lots and lots of hydraulic action! Overall, this car show was awesome and a great way to start off the year in regards to official "car shows". Looking forward to more as I believe that the next one in Adelanto will be sometime in May.
