Have you ever noticed a friend who always cancels plans last minute? It might be due to social anxiety disorder symptoms having kicked into their system, instead of rudeness. Everyone experiences some level of social anxiousness at one time or another, but those with SAD experience an above-average to severe level of worry, fear, and panic in social situations.
