Warm Up the Engine: Start your car and let it idle for about 5-10 minutes. This ensures the engine oil is warmed up, which helps with the flushing process. 2. Add Liqui Moly Engine Flush: Turn off the engine and add Liqui Moly Engine Flush to your engine oil through the oil fill cap. Use the entire contents of the can. 3. Run the Engine: Restart the engine and let it idle for 10-15 minutes. Do not drive the car during this period. The engine flush will circulate and clean internal engine components. 4. Prepare for Oil Change: Turn off the engine and prepare for the oil change. Oil Change Instructions: 1. Lift the Vehicle: Using a jack, lift the front of the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Ensure the vehicle is stable before proceeding. 2. Position the Drain Pan: Place a drain pan under the oil pan drain bolt. 3. Drain the Oil: Carefully remove the oil pan drain bolt using a wrench. Allow the old oil to drain completely into the pan. Cracking open the oil fill cap can help the oil drain faster. 3. Remove the Oil Filter: Once the oil has finished draining, move the drain pan underneath the oil filter. Slowly unscrew the oil filter to allow any remaining oil to drain into the pan. Ensure the rubber gasket from the old filter does not stick to the engine. 4. Install the New Oil Filter: Apply a small amount of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter. Screw the new oil filter on by hand until the gasket seats. Then tighten it according to the manufacturer’s recommendation (7/8ths turn after the gasket seats or 16 lb-ft for a Honda S2000). 5. Replace the Drain Bolt and Washer: Install a new 14 mm washer on the drain bolt. Screw the drain bolt back into the oil pan and tighten it to 29 lb-ft using a torque wrench. Be careful not to over-tighten to avoid damaging the aluminum drain pan threads. 6. Clean Up: Wipe off any oil residue around the drain bolt and oil filter areas. 7. Lower the Vehicle: Remove the jack stands and carefully lower the vehicle back to the ground so it is level. 8. Add New Oil: Remove the oil fill cap and pour in the recommended type and quantity of oil (Motul 8100 5.1 quarts for a Honda S2000). 9. Run the Engine: Screw the oil fill cap back on. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes in a well-ventilated area. Check underneath the car for any leaks. If leaks are found, address them as necessary. 10: Check the Oil Level: Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to settle. Use the dipstick to check the oil level. It should be just below or at the top mark on the dipstick. Add more oil if needed. 11. Dispose of Old Oil: Properly dispose of the old oil and oil filter. Many auto parts stores will recycle used oil, or you can take it to a local hazardous waste disposal site. By following these steps, you will ensure a thorough engine flush and oil change, keeping your engine running smoothly and efficiently.
