Some of the best innovation comes from mimicking nature. Jonathon's talk highlights his incredible lab work with sea creatures to create adhesives that can set in wet conditions and in some cases are stronger than super glue! Jonathan Wilker grew up on the east coast and was often taken to the beach by his parents. Now a Professor of Chemistry and Materials Engineering at Purdue University, his research program focuses on materials created by sea creatures. His projects are often inspired by what is seen while out scuba diving. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
