World Englishes refers to the differences in the English language that emerge as it is used in various contexts across the world. The term was introduced by the Indian-American Linguist Braj Kachru (1932-2016) at a TESOL Conference. To illustrate the varieties of English across the world, he proposed the Three Concentric Circles Model of Englishes.
