Mayagopabala is a Kuchipudi presentation on the Maya of Krishna. At the age of thirteen she was highly fortunate to have Anupama Mohan as her Guru. She started her Kuchipudi Rangapravesha in 2013. She has won first prizes in Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi at the State school youth festival. Later she grabbed the Kalathilkaam title in the MG university youth festival for four consecutive years. She also won the national university youth festival. She was selected by the Human resources Development Ministry, Govt. Of India to represent the country for a cultural exchange programme held at japan and at the cultural meet of SAARC countries. Some of the awards and titles includes Gopikrishna National Award, Yuvaprathiba Award, Natyamukulam, Kalaratha, Natyabrahmari, Nritharanjini, Natyakousthubmam. She is now specialising Bharathanatyam under Guru Dr. G Ratheesh Babu Kuchipudi Kuchipudi is a Traditional & Popular Indian classical dance style. Emerging from a rich dance drama tradition, Kuchipudi was popularised by Padmabhushan Vempati Chinna Satyam. Kuchipudi is originally the name of a village in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, 35 kms from Vijayawada. It is believed that in the 17th century Kuchipudi style of Yakshagaana was conceived by Siddhendra Yogi, a talented Vaishnava poet and visionary. Guided by Teerthanaaraayana Yogi who composed the Krishna Leela Tarangini. Siddhendra Yogi had initiated young Brahmin boys of Kuchipudi village to practice and perform his compositions particularly Bhaamaakalaapam. Kuchipudi Dance was performed in front of the Nawab of Golconda, Abdul Hasan Tanishah and he was so impressed that he issued a copper plate in 1675 A.D. granting the village Kuchipudi to the families of Brahmins who pursued this art. Radha Raja Reddy, Shobha Naidu, Manju Bhargavi are some of the famous Indian Kuchipudi Dancers. Kuchipudi is an Important Dance Style and is performed in Indian dance festivals & Indian Cultural Events. Dance has always been an integral form of Indian Heritage, Culture & Tradition.
