Hi guys. Sorry, I just like it to play around with my own remix of SITR... so I made a 2nd version! Sounds a lot like the first one, but if you listen closely, you might discover that I changed some bits and pieces. The song has been extended by almost two minutes, among other things by adding an extra guitar part. I also changed some guitar chords, a few drum parts, pieces sung by Sting, and I took out a few lousy bass bugs. Also the fade-out at the end is extended to a (hopefully) even more hypnotic ending now. And of course the video has been altered to match the extended remix. Hope you like it! It’s a version which The Police could have recorded, but never did :-) Really hope you enjoy it. If you do, please leave a short message! If you don’t, don’t hesitate to comment also. Love to read any comments! What Andy contributed to the song later on stage, wasn’t there on the studio version of Zenyatta. That’s the reason I didn’t like the song so much back in the days, in opposite to the live performance of it. I always thought it was a real pitty those live guitar parts were not on the studio version. So I especially tried to freshen up the old song with nice and bright guitar parts. Only the (also live introduced) 'reggae rhythm' I downsized a bit, to get a smoother tune. Don’t be deceived by the live video footage, what you hear is (almost) never what you see. The video is only made to support the audio remix. All footage used is around on the internet. Many concert video shards are involved. In addition I used and reworked a considerable part of a beautiful video by Mr. Poliritmia, originally made to support the studio version of SITR. This guy really makes some incredible video-art! Check out his work on    / mrpoliritmia  . With The Police, and especially Sting in fact, persisting in their refusal (or rather fear, I think) to make that new material that everyone is really waiting for, we - the loyal fans - have to get the job done. So take a moment for this refreshed version of ‘Shadows in the Rain’. And in the end this all is for a much greater cause. If our protagonist(s) will ever read this: come on guys, and especially mister Sting, the years are starting to count seriously, so surprise the world, break the myth about The Police as a closed legend, visit your old friends, and do what lots worldwide don't expect, but are really waiting for: MAKE THAT DAMN SIXTH POLICE ALBUM!
