Since building up my Surly Big Dummy, it has become my favorite bike. I have quite a few mountain bikes to choose from, but this is the only one I can go grocery shopping on, take my daughter places, and basically live off of for a day. But can you mountain bike with it? Can you hit jumps with it? Well, today we'll find out to what extent it can do any of those things. I did realize there are a few things I need to snug up on this bike, as well as a couple clamps that keep the rack secure that got left out. I also realized that a bike doesn't need to handle athletically to climb well. You pretty much just point this in the direction of rocks and start pedaling. Bike go up.
