Shortly after this commercial Michael would get 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his scalp and face due to a faulty pyrotechnic, this was one of many Pepsi commercials he would shoot by himself and with his brothers. Alfonso Ribeiro who plays the kid that bumps into Michael would go on later to play Carlton Banks from the fresh Prince of Bel Air and during the seasons he would imitate Michael Jackson quite often while dancing in the show.
