James Gunn's DCU is set to be the biggest plan to revitalize the DC brand since the beginning of the DCEU, when Zack Snyder was brought in to direct Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, setting up the Snyderverse and Justice League. Since then, the DCEU has been in shambles for a straight decade, to the point where James Gunn and Peter Safran had to come in to reboot the franchise. The DCU is set to start with Superman and Creature Commandos, along with introducing new versions of Batman and the Batfamily in The Brave and The Bold, as well as Booster Gold, Supergirl, Swamp Thing and Green Lantern. The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker were the two best projects in that whole universe, so it's only fitting that Gunn would take over DC. There are hopes for major recastings of Wonder Woman and The Flash in the DCU.
