It is a regional line Ljubljana Šiška–Kamnik Graben, but the passenger trains run from the main railway station in Ljubljana. Due to the reduced traffic, passenger services on the line were withdrawn in 1968, but were reintroduced a decade later, in 1978. There are plans to renovate the line.
