Credit for image of clench in thumbnail: smg4 wiki Video Transcript: Hey all, so the latest smg4 episode, no tv make mario not okie dokie, has finally, but rather suddenly, reintroduced the puzzlevision saga into the series. So let's analyse what actually happened in this video and what clues there are, as upon first watch this episode is very vague about what is actually going on. The episode begins with smg4 and crew watching the TV, but this specific tv is very significant, as it is nearly identical to Puzzlevision’s head. It is just missing the text that says puzzlevision and the hat. But in fact, it appears that this may literally be puzzlevision’s head, not just a look alike. Later in the episode when the group are in the basement, we see a brief glimpse of Puzzlevision’s full body, but if you pay special attention, he is actually missing his head. Moving on, Despite the word puzzlevision being missing from the tv model, the word later appears on its error screen, and along with the use of the word on the banner, this practically confirms that puzzlevision is the name of the tv entity, or that at the very least it holds some great significance. We’ve established that this episode prominently features puzzlevision, and just looking at that cliffhanger ending, the banner and the latest community post proves that this episode is the beginning of a major event on the channel, whether that be a movie, an arc or a mini arc leading into a movie. But how does this episode fit in with the rest of the puzzlevision saga, and what new information does it tell us about puzzlevision? Well here's the thing, this episode has me completely stumped. Last year, Puzzlevision’s involvement in each of the events were very subtle and indirect, at least until the ending of wotfi 2023. But this episode completely switches it up, as Puzzlevision is directly and overtly influencing this episode’s events by the looks of it. Each of the events last year also followed a specific theme, as if puzzlevision were putting on shows, each in different genres, but there is no clear theme this could be leading to. The overtness with Puzzlevision this time around makes me think that this could very well finally be leading to the conclusion of the Puzzlevision saga, and that whatever comes next might not follow the format we’ve been used to by now. This episode hasn’t really given me anything more to work with, so I don't have any specific speculation to make, as anything I could come up with would just be shots in the dark. Though I do suppose we could very well finally see what is behind that boarded up door... You know, all this overt puzzlevision stuff makes me wonder if I forgot some other details, almost as if all of this was intended to distract us from something else... Oh wait, there is one more thing, the newest character to be added to the series, clench. In the episode where clench was introduced, I knew instantly that he would become important later due to the fact that he was voiced. We’ve seen this trend in the past after all. And this episode has given us some interesting hints about clench. Firstly, clench powers off and on twice in the episode, but this appears to be intentional on his part. Not only does it make no sense that he would lose power along with the castle as assumedly he is in no way connected to its power generator, but he also strangely powers back on before the power comes back. But these points together could be disregarded as over analysing until we see the final time he powers off. This time it was clearly intentional. So what gives? I’m not too sure. Clench has interacted with mario, bob and now meggy, so if it was to keep himself hidden from someone, it would either have to be smg4, smg3 or the both of them. Alternatively, perhaps this could suggest some link to puzzlevision, as both times he is powered off, something significant with puzzlevision occurs. Whether this may suggest that he is puzzlevision himself, or that he is just simply aware of puzzlevision to some extent, and perhaps does not want to interfere with what puzzlevision is up to, is unclear. In clench’s debut video, he appears to be aware of events that he is not supposed to, at least within the smg4 universe, as i get the impression that he may have been talking about the events of meta runner, but that’s really all the hints we have about clench in general, as he has only really appeared in two videos so far. The last thing worth noting is that the smg4 channel banner promoting this new arc or movie displays what looks like five cards. What this means, I have no clue. But perhaps as new episodes release, each of these cards will be turned around and revealed, giving us more clues about what is going on. Thats all for now, but the latest community post suggests we may get frequent teasers or some sort of trailer on wednesday, like with previous puzzlevision events. bye.
