Port of Miami Arrival & Cruise Ship Embarkation of Norwegian Escape - What to Expect (HD)

We reached the Port of Miami via Uber/Lyft for our cruise for the Norwegian Escape in December 2016. The drive there was pretty interesting as we were able to spot quite a few cruise ships docked at port. The car also went through the Port Miami Tunnel which was open just in late 2014. This was certain something new we hadn't seen before in our previous cruises out of Miami. Once at the cruise terminal, we left our large luggage with a porter, passed terminal B, then went to terminal C for check in. The Norwegian Escape is a LARGE cruise ship and uses multiple terminals for boarding, so be sure to check that you are at the right terminal depending on where your cabin location is (forward, midship or aft). Before enter the terminal, you must show your passports and the cruise ticket documents. Then immediately you would go into a line for a security screening that is similar to what you would expect at an airport. That took about 20 minutes. After that it is time to check in- waiting in line and then getting checked in, getting your stateroom cabin key cards- those took an additional 15 minutes or so. Then it was only about 5 more minutes to go and board the ship to start the vacation. We also saw the Carnival Vista directly opposite of our ship. #ncl
