Hi. In this video I show you how I made a lantern style tool post. I wanted one of these tool posts so I could use a bunch of old style tool holders on my south bend lathe. The square tool holder that came with my lathe can't take these tools, they are too big. Having a lantern style tool post will allow me to use them. I gave up trying to buy one from an auction site because they are asking too much for what was available on the off chance that it might fit. My next video should be a steady rest unless something else pops up, closely followed by a following rest. Regards.
