Allison McNeill - Princeton Offense - Concepts and Modifications for High School

Allison McNeill - Canadian National Team Allison McNeill guided the Canadian Women’s National basketball team to their first appearance in the Olympic Games since 2000 and equaled the best performance ever by a Canadian Women’s Basketball team. She served as Canada’s Senior Women's Basketball Team Head Coach from 2002 to 2012 and has led Canada to two World Championship (2006 and 2010) appearances as well. After an illustrious 13-year career at SFU, advancing to 3 NAIA Final 4’s, she served as the Associate Head Coach at the University of Oregon helping the Ducks to the WNIT title in 2002 and an NCAA tournament spot in 2005. Allison is currently coaching at Semiahmoo Secondary School and has been since 2015. They are back to back Provincial Champions at the 4A (top) level and have had two undefeated seasons vs. BC High School competition. The Coaching Association of Canada awarded her the Geoff Gowan Award recognizing her lifetime contribution to coaching development in Canada. - Head Coach Canadian National Team 2002 - 2012 - 2012 Olympic Games – Top 8 finish. First time Canada had been to the Olympics in 12 years. - Bronze medalists at the 2011 FIBA Olympic Qualification Tournament - 2010 World Championships, finished 12th - Bronze medalists at the 2009 FIBA America World Qualification Tournament - 4th place finish at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio, Brazil - 2006 World Championships, finished 10th - Bronze medalists at the 2005 FIBA America World Qualification tournament - Qualified for the 2006 World Championships (1st time Canada had qualified in 12 years – 1994 was the last time) - University of Oregon Associate Head Coach 2001 - 2005 - 2005 - 2nd Place Pac-10 Conference/2nd Round NCAA Tournament (lost to National Champions Baylor University) - 2002 - WNIT Champions - Simon Fraser University Coach 1988 - 2001 - Record: 363-79 - 11 trips to NAIA National Championships - 12 players named NAIA All-Americans - Placed 6 players on Canadian Senior National Team while at SFU - Placed 8 players in Canadian National Team Program (Junior, Senior) while at SFU - Head Coach Canadian Junior National Team 1998 - 2000 COACHING AWARDS: - 2011 - Geoff Gowan Award - Recognizing lifetime contribution to coaching development - 2010 - Promotion Plus – “In Her Footsteps” award.
