Talbina Recipe By Healthy Food Fusion

Here is one special recipe of Talbeenah (barley porridge) which has been recommended by our beloved Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) “Talbeenah soothes the heart of the sick person, and it takes away some of the grief.” A very healthy recipe which nourishes, and provides strength and has numerous health benefit specially for heart. Talbina Serve 4-5 Recipe in English: Ingredients: -Jau (Barley) broken 100 gms -Pani (Water) as required -Doodh (Milk) 1 liter -Khajore (Dates) 10 or as required -Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder) ½ tsp -Pista (Pistachio) sliced 2 tbs ¬-Badam (Almonds) sliced 2 tbs Directions: -In bowl,add broken barley and wash with water. -Add water and soak for 3-4 hours or overnight then drain the water. -In pot,add milk and bring it to boil,add soaked barley and mix well,cover partially and cook on low for 8-10 minutes. -Deseed and chop dates. -Add dates,mix well,cover partially and cook on low flame for 25-30 minutes. -Add cardamom powder and mix well,cover partially and cook for another for 8-10 minutes. -Add pistachio,almonds and mix well. -Garnish & serve! Recipe in Urdu: Ajza: -Jau (Barley) broken 100 gms -Pani (Water) as required -Doodh (Milk) 1 liter -Khajore (Dates) 10 or as required -Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder) ½ tsp -Pista (Pistachio) sliced 2 tbs ¬-Badam (Almonds) sliced 2 tbs Directions: -Bowl mein broken jau dal dein aur pani sad ho lein. -Pani dal dein aur 3-4 hours ya overnight kliya soak ker lein phir drain ker lein. -Pot mein doodh dal ker ubal lein,soaked jau dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur partially dhak ker 8-10 minutes kliya paka lein. -Khajore ka beech nikal ker chop ker lein. -Khajore dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur partially dhak ker halki ancch per 25-30 minutes kliya paka lein. -Elaichi powder dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur partially dhak ker 8-10 minutes kliya paka lein. -Pista aur badam dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein. -Garnish ker ka serve karein.
