Then watch this video as I hike along the Giant Stairs trail in the Palisades Interstate Park located near the NY/NJ state line. Welcome to the Palisades Interstate Park in New Jersey Administered by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission, the Palisades Interstate Park in New Jersey is about twelve miles long and half a mile wide, with 2,500 acres of wild Hudson River shorefront, uplands, and cliffs — just minutes from midtown Manhattan! The hike is made of two different trails - The Long Path and the Shoreline Trail. The Giant Stairs is a labyrinth of huge boulders randomly strewn at the bottom of the Palisades and it takes careful navigation to go across.
