This was a real treat to get as it would not be possible since the service runs primarily rush hours only. This summer however, Metra operates 3 round trips on Saturdays for hikers and bikers visiting the communities served. It allowed me to capture rare mileage that would be hard to do if these trains weren’t running. Fascinating line with nice old towns and station buildings. We also see 2 Lincoln Servicevtrsins pass for St Louis. (some of the signal indications I am reading the information I give is not correct. I am basing these indications on what I see on my home Railroad, the Long Island Railroad the indications in the Midwest are much different. my apologies.
