It’s been a while but here at last is my tribute for Otto Octavius aka Doctor Octopus. I do like the guy a lot as the idea of a tragic mad scientist is always interesting and Doc Ock can be a very complex character when he is actually written well. The problem I have with him though is that he appears so fricking much!!!!! I mean seriously, this guy is in so many Spider-Man cartoon episodes and there are so many versions of him in general that I honestly didn’t even know where to start with this video (and don’t get me started on the comics). The reason why Ock’s over usage pisses me off more than other villains like say, Joker or Lex Luthor, is because no one else ever mentions this. In fact, if you ask any random person which Spider-Man villain they think is overused, I can guarantee they’ll say either Green Goblin or Venom. Well, after doing tributes for all three of these guys (and as a result, watching more Spider-Man media than I ever want to again), I seriously think Ock appears more than the two of them put together (at least if I only count the Norman Osborn and Eddie Brock versions of them). So yeah, in conclusion I like Otto but I’m also tired of seeing him all the time in Spider-Man stuff and it would be nice if they gave him a break for a while. Also, this is the reason why I can’t make tributes for villains like Joker, Lex Luthor, Catwoman, Penguin, Magneto, Deathstroke etc. Anyway, I’m very proud of myself for successfully making tributes for the “Big Three” of Spider-man villains. I know I’m supposed to do Vulture next but I’m really busy with school and personal business nowadays so I’ll have to cut my video upload frequency to only one or two videos a month for now. Plus, this video was such a pain in the ass to make that I have to take a break anyway.
