Groizer X (グロイザーX?) - Groizer X (グロイザーX?), produced in 1976 by Go Nagai, within the mecha style. Akane Island is surprised by the crash of an unidentified flying object. Professor Hideki Tobishima, head of the island's air base, and Joe Kaizaka, an aerobatics pilot, go to the crash site to investigate and find a spaceship with a young woman badly injured. Rescued by them, the young woman – after receiving medical treatment – tells her story: she is from the star Gailar. They were on a search through space when, by default, the ship had to stop on Earth. They remained under the sea in a state of induced sleep, waiting for help from Gailar. But nuclear tests on Earth have awakened some. The commander of Gailar's security, the malevolent Geldon, cowardly assassinates the legitimate sovereign and proclaims himself emperor, awakens the others and says he wants to establish his empire on Earth. For this, he would use the Space Pirate, a combat ship developed by Professor Yan, Rita's father, who disagrees with Geldon's perfidious goals and tries to escape with the ship. Geldon's soldiers reach and capture him, but Rita manages to escape with the Space Pirate, even injured. In her escape, she crashes in Japan and is rescued by Tobishima and Joe. From then on, Japan begins to suffer attacks under the orders of Emperor Geldon, with his "bomb-bombs", and the Space Pirate begins to be used for the defense of the planet, being piloted by Joe and Rita, with the support from Professor Tobishima's entire team.
