Tofu60 Redux Gummy O-Ring (gasket) Mounted

I have not seen any content on gummy o-ring mounting the Tofu redux, so I thought id share my experience. First:. I tried using the solder PCB that comes with the redux kit from KBDfans. I got the pcb cutouts all correct but the cutout by number 6 was too deep and pretty much killed the #6 key. So I do think it is possible to use that PCB, but you need to be careful. The ZED60 pcb has pre cut cutouts, but none of them really aligned with the Redux case. BUT the pcb allows for more room to make your own cut outs. You can try other pcbs, but I would make sure it is a solder pcb as the o-ring is going to pop out any hotswap switches. Second: The center two stand offs had to be drilled. Third: I had to use foam in between the plate and the pcb to make the o-ring stick out more. Without it, the pcb just plopped into the case. Fourth: Putting bump-ons on the bottom of the case helps the board feel and sound less harsh. Fifth: I feel like you need to use some type of foam to keeb the pcb up a little bit. The case foam that comes with the tofu redux works great. It makes the board sound deep. I find that polyfil gives the board a little more flex and make the board clack and pop more. The Build: Websites to find everything provided -Mocha Redux case: Divinikey or kbdfans -Zed60 pcb: Cbbplanet -Polycarbonate plate: kbdfans -Tx AP stabs, (The space needs tuning, I know): Divinikey -Joininkeys jade rabbit linear switches (lubed and spring swapped): Dangkeebs -GMK Noire keycaps -Polyfil foam inside the case: From any craft store/ amazon -30A oring gasket: RNDkbd -Brass weight: Divinikey or kbdfans Thoughts: This board feels and sounds amazing. I wasn't sure if it was going to workout, but I made it work and I am really happy with it. I recently got a bakeneko60 on clearance and I can say this is much better than the bakeneko. I would love to try the acrylic case, so I might try that out. The best part about this is you can just pop the pcb and weight out and throw them in another case. I know there is not much content on this, so ask any questions you have and I will do my best to help out. Royalty Free Music: Bensound.com/royalty-free-music License code: PM53WX9BORG8U24W
