AUG 2 2023 - Diagnosed with brain tumor AUG 4 2023 - Surgery to remove brain tumor SEP 14 2023 to OCT 30 - Radiotherapy/Chemotherapy NOV - 4 weeks without treatment, followed by an MRI DEC 2023 - MAY 2024 - Six months of taking a stronger chemotherapy pill five days per month On August 2nd 2023, after experiencing increasingly severe symptoms, I was diagnosed with a grade 4 astrocytoma brain tumor. On August 4th I had surgery to remove the tumour. They believe they removed ninety-five percent of it, so I will need chemotherapy and radiation treatment. For six weeks, from September 14, I will undergo five-days-a-week of precision radiation treatment at the same time as a chemo pill. This will be followed by four weeks of no treatment. Then I will have an MRI, before resuming six months of further treatment in which I will be taking a chemo pill for five days each month. This pill will be three times stronger than the one I took during radiation.
