The Rulers of the Outer Worlds (vs. the girls) - FF7 Rebirth

Not the first team I beat this challenge with. That consisted of Cloud, Tifa and Red, but I wanted to mix things up, try different builds etc. With this team, I by far struggled the most with Sephiroth, because all three characters were too squishy to survive Octaslash, and I wasn't very consistent at perfect blocking his Shadowy Chains. Strategy mainly revolved around setting up Aerith (with Genji Gloves) to obliterate everything with big spells. Tifa's main use was charging ATB for everyone through ATB assist materia, and distributing haste. And - of course - she packs a serious punch as well. Yuffie was set up as a support character, mainly doing buffs, heals and synergy attacking with Aerith to give both of them unlimited MP. Her damage is still good, though. She also came in clutch in the last encounter, when Sephiroth was using Octaslash on everyone and I was like: "Wait, can I escape from that shit with Blindside?" And it worked! Beat his ass the same try I found out about this. Interestingly, the final attack of Octaslash not only missed Yuffie but also Tifa and Aerith. I assume that Sephiroth had Yuffie as the main target of Octaslash, because I was controlling her when he started his attack. The attack itself would then follow Yuffie, and because she went into a different direction after using Blindside, Sephiroth would go after her rather than the other two, eventually missing all three of them. Everyone was equipped with a defensive Elemental materia linked to Fire, which trivializes the first encounter with Phoenix and Kujata. It also helps with Sephiroth, as I assume that his second phase always starts with fire affinity. Not much to say about the encounter with Titan and Bahamut. It is probably the fight where I put the least amount of preperation into. No special equipment, materia etc. For Alexander and Odin I try to charge Tifa's Limit as fast as possible to make Odin vanish. By that time, Aerith should be set up to blast Alexander. Gilgamesh was by far the hardest (and most frustrating) fight back when I did this challenge with Cloud, Tifa and Red. With this team, however, I made short work of that b*tch, which was very satisfying. Firaga ftw!
