I'll will quickly show you how a lateen sail works by rigging and sailing a traditional Tagus wooden boat that we care for at the club. These smaller boats are called "Catraios". This boat was in a warehouse for decades and it was in a really bad state. Last year it was restored by a local lad who unfortunately passed away.
