PART 1 The CVT Auto transmission removal from my 2009 Jeep Patriot. I have not seen any videos on someones process of removal, so I figured I would make some, with notes in the video on things to look for and things that suck.. I hope this helps someone, I did a fair amount of head scratching but I got it out. Part 2 will be taking the transmission apart, I want to try to rebuild it, then put it back in and hope it works! The Jatco CVT used in the Dodge Caliber, Jeep Patriot, and Jeep Compass. Chrysler's only continuously variable transmission (CVT), not counting hybrids, was used on the Dodge Caliber, Jeep, Compass, and Jeep Patriot, all built together, on the same platform, in the same plant. JATCO CVT as used by Dodge and Jeep. I think it was used in nissans too?
