DESCRIPTION / DESKRIPSI Bahasa : Saya Mendapatkan Gerinda Engkol Manual ini sekitar 1 Tahun yang lalu di Marketplace FB. Gerinda Engkol ini awalnya saya tidak yakin untuk mendapatkan hasil yang memuaskan seperti hasil video diatas. saya mencoba untuk mengetahui warna asli dari gerinda engkol tersebut yang mana warna asli nya adalah hijau gelap sehingga saya memutuskan untuk menyerupai warna aslinya. Ada beberapa kesulitan ketika saya merestorasi ini yaitu salah satunya baut dan mur yang menempel sangat keras sekali sulit untuk dibuka kemudian bagian pada gearbox (gir kecil dan gir besar sulit untuk dilepas karena mereka saling bersinggungan tanpa celah dan gir ini tidak didesain untuk bongkar pasang yang mudah sehingga butuh tekanan palu yang besar untuk melepasnya dan syukurnya tidak ada gigi yang gompal satupun saat melepasnya. Secara keseluruhan proyek ini saya lakukan dengan kesabaran dan ketekunan dengan langkah pertama pembongkaran, kemudian menyingkirkan sisa gemuk (grease) yang menempel kemudian cuci dengan air hangat dengan tambahan sabun, kemudian saya rendam bagian-bagian besi menggunakan citric acid , baut dan mur saya rendam dengan oxalic acid. Untuk keseluruhan part besi saya lakukan dengan mengkikir, menggerinda halus, amplas, Dempul kemudian cat epoxy, warna dasar serta pernis clear coat, serta part besi lain saya amplas halus kemudian dipoles dengan batu ijo (polishing), untuk bagian pengelasan terdapat pada bagian bodi yang bolong serta gagang engkol yang saya tutup dengan las CIN 1 kemudian membuat derat untuk memasukkan batang as. untuk gagang kayu/ pegangan kayu saya amplas hingga halus, saya beri plitur / politur propan kemudian scotch brite untuk finishing agar megkilap halus. untuk gasket yang rusak saya ubah menggunakan kulit jenis crazy horse leather. At first I wasn't sure about this crank grinder to get satisfactory results like the results in the video above. I tried to find out the original color of that crank grinder, the original color of which was dark green, so I decided to match the original color. There were several difficulties when I restored this, one of which was that the bolts and nuts stuck very hard and were difficult to open up, then the parts on the gearbox (small gear and large gear were difficult to remove because they touched each other without gaps and this gear was not designed for easy disassembly). so it took a lot of hammer pressure to remove it and thankfully there weren't any loose teeth when removing it. Overall, I carried out this project with patience and perseverance with the first step of disassemble, then removing the remaining grease that was stuck to it, then washing it with warm water with the addition of soap, then I soaked the iron parts using citric acid, I soaked the bolts and nuts with oxalic acid. For all the iron parts I did this by filing, grinding, sanding, putty then epoxy paint, base color and clear coat varnish, and other iron parts I sanded finely then polished with green stone (polishing), for the welding parts it was found on the body part. I closed the hole and crank handle with CIN 1 NIKKO Steel welding then made a thread to insert the axle rod. For the wooden handle/handle, I sanded it until it was smooth, I applied polish/propane polish then scotch brite to finish it so it had a smooth shine. For the damaged gasket, I replaced it using crazy horse leather. Hopefully this is useful for some people who watch this video to gain insight into restoration.
