Wild Arran - A Scottish Wildlife photography trip

So I've just spent five days on the Isle of Arran off the West Coast of Scotland, doing some wildlife photography. Within the first hour of arriving on the island I saw a pod of dolphins swimming just off the coast near the ferry port along with a male red deer stag walking along the beach, 30 minutes later after a drive up over the tops towards Lochranza, I spotted a male hen Harrier hunting over the hills close to the road. What an amazing introduction to my wildlife photography trip here on the Isle of Arran. As the days went by I was constantly surprised with the wildlife and even took time out just to sit back and admire the views and the red deer roaming the hills. As it was now the month of October the deer rut was in full swing and the roaring red stags could be heard all across the island from sunrise to sundown these mighty beasts roared dominating their female deer and warning other stags to stay clear. Down by the sea I was fortunate enough to photograph and see the otters along with the goosanders gannets and cormorants. What a fantastic five days I have just spent on this wild island of Aaron.
