Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden opened in May 2023 and has its own magical lore. From 13 November 2023 until 7 January 2024, the Lilidorei Christmas Lights bring a chance to see the magical village illuminated after nightfall. Lilidorei is the location of the world's biggest play structure, Elfwin Drin, the home of Lord Elfwin, the King of Lilidorei. He rules over nine clans of elves. Their beautifully designed clan houses are lit up during the festive season and playful and mysterious sounds emit from giant mushrooms and around the houses. Lilidorei is a popular destination for family days out in North East England. Strolling between the Christmas lights at Lilidorei also makes for a fun night out for adults, as I discovered during my visit.
