While it did not have the extraordinary financial success that the typical comicbook films etc. had the past years, emotionally and morally this is one hell of an exciting story! I particulary like the grey areas of morality that are explored, namely that neither the ape nor the human side are "good". In addition, the quality of the CGI is out of this world, particularly when you consider that these films are quite a few years old at this point. There's a new film coming out this year (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) and I can't wait to see how they continue the franchise, but I do hope they don't tarnish this trilogy with a bad sequel film.
