Shortly before Tanner's passing I started transcribing Eric Butler's trombone solo from this tune, so it only seems appropriate that I dedicate this video to the memory of my incredible friend. Someone as special as Tanner Haney cannot be summarized in a paragraph of a video description, but to at least make an effort: for the four years I knew him he was so unique, so funny, so down-to-earth, and destined for so much. Seventeen is far too soon, and I wish I and his other friends could tell him one last time how much he is missed and loved. Tanner showed me this tune a couple years ago when I mentioned a passing interest in ska, and ever since I've wanted to learn this solo. Between not having access to a trombone and not having the chops it's been a long, long time coming, and it's still far from perfect, but I hope it is a worthy tribute to the man Tanner was.
