While travelling in Morocco I decided to commit to fasting for Ramadan. I could have never imagined the friendships that this would bring into my life as well as a deeper connection to the country of Morocco and massive insight to the Muslim religion and it's traditions. As a non muslim I was met with encouragement and support to sink as deep into the month of Ramadan as possible. People opened up their homes to me, shared knowledge and seemed to always find an extra seat for me at their table to break fast (Iftar). A truly amazing 30 day fast that lead to the beginning of Eid al-Fitr. I found a a beautiful 1987 Volkswagen van and toured the coast. I eventually made my way to Morocco where I played music and hugged more coastline in search of inspiration and waves.
