Generational Curses and demonic strongholds In this episode, we will discuss 3 primary subjects. 1) What is the most common teaching of generational curses 2) Is there any validity to sin temptations being transmitted through the family line 3) Is there any validity to demonic bondage being transmitted through the family line Often times (not always) Generational curses are defined as "a negative pattern manifesting in you, and or, your family due to demonic activity that was granted access by the unrepentant sins of your ancestors". However, there is a major problem with this definition. There is no mention of demons in the "typical generational curse" proof texts. In Numbers 14:17-18 and Exodus 20:4-6 we find God is the one bringing the curse not demons. Why is God cursing man? Well, Scripture tells us that we are cursed if we do not abide by everything written in the Law. So by breaking God's law we are placed under a curse from God. "But what about the Christian?" you may ask. Well, Christ took our place and became a curse for us that the curse of the Lay may be removed from us. Praise God! But now we get into the nitty-gritty of it all. Is there a demonic activity that can be transmitted generationally? Can our habitual unrepented sins, somehow be transmitted to our children?
