Arise & Advance

When Jesus called each of us uniquely and individually, He called us out of one kingdom and into another. And in doing so, He changed our final destination from hell to heaven, and our identities from beggars to kings, orphans to sons and daughters, the forsaken to the bride. Jesus changed everything the moment He gave up everything, ransoming Himself as an offering for you. We must live only to advance the Kingdom. And to advance it, as Jesus and His first disciples demonstrated, we must lay our lives down, living not for our own survival but dying to ourselves daily so that the Kingdom can be established. The simplicity of the Gospel was so that all in the world would easily hear, understand, and receive. But the life of a true disciple, a follower of Jesus Christ, is difficult, because it will lead to us being persecuted for our faith, and requires us to die and deny to ourselves, blessing those who persecute us, praying for them and loving those who hate us, just as Jesus demonstrated. The true power of love, the love that conquerors fear, is manifested where perfect love becomes the focus above all. We live powerfully when our “yes,” is lived boldly. Our yes is where all mediocrity ends. I know that there is more of Jesus and I have not yet tasted and seen. More Bread on the banquet table. More oil! More fruit. And more wine which I have not yet consumed. I want it all… every morsel and every crumb. We are all in a kairos moment, where we will witness the sheep and goats and the wheat and tares violently separated. And then, once separated, the sheep will be separated again. The Lord will separate the spotted from the spotless. We, the church, are called to make ourselves ready as the spotless bride, without stain, wrinkle or any blemish. Holy and blameless. And then the wheat, once separated from the tares, the remaining wheat will be thrashed to remove the chaff. The removal of the chaff is the removal of the world. We must be in position! We must arise and advance.
