After covering a lot of the UK in my series the Death of the High Street, I knew I had to get to another country to see if the major cities there are in the same shape. I was expecting for there to be far more empty shops than I found. There were still a lot empty, but it took me longer than normal to find them, and the streets in Paris just seem to have more life in them with every row filled with apartments above. People before hand kept telling me that Paris is dirty, and that I was going to be dissapointed. But I found it to be the complete opposite. I found that it was actually an incredibly beautiful city full of interesting things and nice people. I was also impressed by how many book shops there were everywhere, not just book shops but people selling interesting looking books on the street. The Eiffel Tower sucked though, unless you like 3 hour queues, dont bother...
