Looking for honest gold early on? You could chop wood, work the mines, and harvest produce at local farms. You can sell what you collect to the owners of these places. 3. Ore can be mined by just swinging the pickaxe at it instead of having to activate the vein. 4. Don't overlook the ability to cook food, Venison stew regenerates health and stamina. In other words, endless power attacks. 5. Before starting a craft for the first time, you can ask Blacksmiths, Alchemists, and Enchanters to give you the rundown. You'll get a crash course, and possibly a bit of experience for doing so. 6. Looking for quests of interest? You can head over to the Inn/Tavern and ask the owner what they've heard, they're likely to lead you to several rewarding quests! 7. Before selling your goods in town, find the nearest beggar and give them a septim. Doing so will give The Gift of Charity bonus, boosting Speechcraft by 10 points for an hour. As a result, you gain better buying/selling prices. 8. Wearing an Amulet of Mara lets you propose marriage with certain NPC's, which has many benefits including a possible home, the lover's comfort rested bonus, and extra income. 9. Some books around Skyrim provide a free level to certain skills. Don't feel like reading every book you come across to find skill boosts? Look at the gold value. 10. Miss an opportunity to loose an arrow? You can press the sheathing button to cancel the shot. 11. Daggers are the only true silenced weapons at close range. If you're going to be a silent killer, bring a dagger! 12. When using one-handed weapons, after power attacks, you will swing faster on the next two immediate strikes. 13. Two-handed weapons may be slow, but have a high chance to stagger your enemy, warhammers having the highest. Time your power attacks to keep the enemy stunned! 14. When casting a spell, it can be canceled quickly by tapping the attack button again. A bit faster than switching to another spell. 15. Elemental spells & enchantments have effects other than dealing damage. Before taking related perks, by default fire spells will increase damage enemies take while on fire, shock spells will reduce enemy's magicka, and frost spells will decrease their stamina. Elemental enchantments to weapons will have similar effects! Want to stagger enemies more with your warhammer? Enchant it with frost! 16. Ward magic is not only good protection from spells, but Dragon Breath, Shouts and Spit Attacks as well! 17. Tired of Dragon's Breath? Just before they spew ice or flames at you, you can shield/weapon bash or dual-cast a spell (with impact perk) to cancel it. 18. Poisons effect all enemies as long as they are not undead, this includes dragons! 19. Enemies can be tricked into setting of their own traps by using throw voice or an arrow. Bear traps can be moved holding the activate button and used on enemies. 20. Some torches in dungeons can be removed from the walls for a more stealthy approach. 21. Finding more word walls is as simple as asking Arngeir of the Greybeards, you can find all of the shouts that don't require a separate quest this way. 22. Acquire a disease from the wildlife or a vampire and don't feel like going back to a temple? Look up, if you see a hawk, bring it down and their feathers will cure you! Kyne's Peace works great for this. 23. Having trouble catching insects for reagents? Shout at them! 24. If overencumbered you can still fast travel on horseback. 25. Looking for soul gems? Dwemer Automatons almost always drop one. Not enough? Take part in the main story until you find yourself in Blackreach, it is only here that you will find Geode Veins, mine these for soul gems!
