Mr Ogbogu worked with the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan and retired as a Chief Research Officer. He specialized in Wood Chemistry and Biology (Biodeterioration and Preservation). He had his undergraduate and Post graduate studies at the University of Ibadan and the Institute of Wood Biology and Preservation, University of Hamburg, Germany.
