192 Miles done over 2 weeks, The Wandering Hobbits (Steve & Abbie) embarked on a Journey following the Footsteps of Alfred Wainwright. The Coast to Coast walk (Or Hike) goes from one coast to the other across some of Great Britains most Beautiful countryside. We Opted to go from West to East, Thats St Bees in Cumbria across to Robin Hoods Bay on the East Coast which lies in the Beautiful North Yorkshire. 6 Months in the Planning, Time off Work, Hostels/Hotels/Bed & Breakfasts all Booked and allowing a few days Wild Camping. It was going to be an Adventure for sure! Some Videos but mostly Photos can only describe part of the feelings and scenery we encountered during the Fortnight. If you are Thinking of doing such a Trip, The Hobbits would highly recommend it. Hard work? Yes Blisters? Of Course, Yes. Haha. Dont be thinking this is Easy, Between 10 and 20 Miles a day depending on your planned stopovers but rewarding daily. The Meals and Drinks during the Evening Taste so much better and you appreciate the Dryness and Warmth of a Real Fire after a Hard Slog through the Rain that Day. If your a Nature Lover then through the different Environments you ll encounter lots of Different Wildlife, Flora and Fauna!
