We work our way up Vancouver Island in our Roadtrek Zion campervan starting in Victoria in the south and up to Port McNeill in the north. We pass through many communities, stay overnight at Englishman River Falls Provincial Park, and make brief stops at Coombs Old Country Market, Cumberland and Campbell River. We arrive at the Alder Bay Resort, a short distance from Port McNeill, and enjoy the stunning views from the campground and some fantastic paddling. Gordon also has a bear encounter.
