Join us as we visit the beautiful Bridgnorth in Shropshire for the very first time and show you why you need to visit The main reason for the visit was for the historic 1892 Funicular Railway which is England’s steepest and longest inland electric railway At the top you can find the ruins of the former Bridgnorth Castle which was ordered to be destroyed in 1646 by Oliver Cromwell, the main tower has a lean of 15° which is more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa The small town is also rich in history, quaint little streets and old vintage shops including and amazing Fish & Chip shop where we had a lovely meal The historic Severn Valley Railway is also in the area and you get a great view of it from the Castle Gardens in the hill, we will be back to do that in the future https://www.bridgnorthcliffrailway.co...
